Wed. June 23rd, 2010 and Fathers Day is over

I do not know about you but I had a very good Fathers day. I ate to much but that is what food is for. Saw all three of the kids and the grandchildren. I am not cooking this week as I am trying to eat all the leftovers that we brought home from the restaurants. The last daughter and her three daughters left for Iowa around nine in the morning and my dog, Otto, went to sleep and slept tell four in the afternoon. He had a lot of fun with all the attention he was getting.
I have noticed in ealier posts of mine that my fingers hit more than one key at a time so I do have a few misspelled words. (Sorry about that). I suppose it could be worse.
Not sure who wrote this, but I thought it would be a good spot to mention it to get more people to remember there mothers and fathers, and friends.
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime,---embrace all equally."
Do you remember all of the Ten Commandments? The verse above reminds me of one, Honor thy Father and Mother. DO YOU?
Well that's it for today, we do have more storms heading our way so I will have to watch the weather channel from now on for the rest of the day.
Enjoy your day.
